TMO Group’s Managing Director, Dominiek Pouwer, spoke to more than 100 audiences at "Digital Marketing in China - Where do I start?" event hosted by Tolmao Group. During the presentation named “Building a Multi-channel strategy through Wechat eCommerce”, Dominiek has shared his insights about how enterprise can boost its cross-border commerce with the lift of integrated multi-channel eCommerce platform.
“WeChat is the social media channels with the highest shoppers, and WeChat Pay has the highest adoption rate in eCommerce/Service industry”, Dominiek started the speech with several key statistics that prove WeChat as a prominent platform for marketers to focus on.
During his speech, Dominiek also touched on other WeChat eCommerce options such as Youshop (微店) and Youzan (有赞). He explained both the pros and cons of those 3rd party SaaS (Software as a Service) options. In Dominiek’s mind, 3rd party options could be ”easier to start and cost lower”, but “disadvantages are obvious too, for an enterprise: similarity with competitors, and too many limitations.”
At the end, Dominiek revealed that one of the best solutions for both B2B and B2C enterprises -- to build up your multi-channel eCommerce platform.
“Multi-channel eCommerce can help you and your business in many ways: you can unified your contents through every single channel, you can strategise your design featuring different devices, and you can cover the vital features for WeChat, both communication and eCommerce business.”
